A regular high school diploma can be earned in another program for adult
non-graduates. The Adult High School, operating through the Ohio Valley
Educational Service Center, offers accredited courses in a classroom setting at
the local high schools. Adults who need 4 or 5 credits can study English,
Government, and Computer Applications at night. Other classes can be scheduled
as needed; U.S. History, Math, and Health credits have all been earned by adult
students. Tuition averages $120.00 per credit hour; some financial assistance is
available through the Guernsey County
Opportunity Center.
As classes are completed, credits are applied to the student's existing
transcript at the home high school. When all credits are complete and
Proficiency Tests passed, the student is granted a Diploma !
